Alright. Here is how I see it. It is Friday night 8 pm, I am sitting here watching Spongebob with my son. Jennifer is already in bed as she is 5 1/2 months in the process with our 2nd one... Our lives change as time goes on. But one thing I think remains the same...We all wish we could re-capture some of the glory of our youth. I however do realize that any attempt of such could, result in either pulled muscles, broken bones or perhaps a little jail time. I will be attending the game and will gladly volunteer to run (coordionate) middie lines. My wife and son will not be able to attend due to prior commitments. See ya.

I missed this years alumni game but put me on the list for next year.
My contact information: Kevin Martin I played 1986-1988
2903 Hanna Lane, Bentonville, AR 72712 Cell (479)685-4865
I'm still very involved with the sport. We are establishing Youth Lacrosse in Northwest Arkansas. We were lucky enough to be selected for an equipment grant from US Lacrosse and that should help establish a core team and build from their. It's a building process but lots of fun. Kevin

Nice to hear from you Kevin. Missed Leventino yelling to you this year to "pass me the ball Maaartin" in his best accent. See ya next year. Lacrosse in Arkansas? Crazy! Brian Harris brought out a phot album with some pics in it and I saw a pic of you and Campbell and you both looked 15ish!!!

All,
I played @ Sam from 1983-1986. Coached with Pat Atwood in 1985 & 1986. Sorry I have been out of the loop but have moved quite a bit with the "G". I have been stationed @ HQ in Washington DC since 2004. I talked with Bart Bacon a few weeks back and he updated me on the team and the alumini game, which I would have loved to make. Glad to see you guys are getting back in the league. I am getting transferred to Denver this summer, so I will back in the real world soon and hope to make the next alumni game. Contact is as follows:

All right, great to see you in contact. I have just added you to the email list. If you are in contact with more ex players that do not know about the team coming back, let me know. _________________ Courage is being scared to death... and saddling up anyway.

| I missed the alumni game last year and I might not be able to make it this year as well. It's hard to find a good airline ticket price these days. I'll try and make it this year. If I can't then put me down for the game in '09. I'm glad to see that the program hasn't gone the way of the dodo.

I'm happy to see this team is still going after all these years. It seems like forever since I played lacrosse when it first started out at SHSU. Most of us that started on that team had no idea what we were doing but we stuck with it and in the 3rd and 4th year had one of the best college teams going 24-8 with two of those losses to Tulane and two losses to Texas Tech both of which were in the '83 and '84 playoff finals. The other four losses were to city club teams.
The reason I know all this is that I was the unofficial keeper of the SHSU Lacrosse information. I have a three ring binder full of articles from the Houstonian and other papers, photos, fliers, etc.
The starting team that first year was:
Defense - Harry Gardner, Bob Scogsdill, Danny Daigle
Midfield - Mike Atwood, Jeff McGee, Joe Fritts
Attack - Pat Levantino, Leil Robinson, Craig Pincence
Goalie - Ken Fox
Below is the first photo that appeared in the Houstonian.
An this is the first article that appeared in the paper.
Here is a listing of other players that played during the 1981-84 seasons
Steve Dault
Miles Mohnkern
Karl Oswald
Geoff Bynum
David Brand
David Riley
Bob Fagner
Bill Cavanaugh
Thomas Gardner
Byron Meyers
Pat Gallucci
Scott Emery
Carl Siegfried
Keith Wagstaff
Troy Walden
Chris Walts
I would love to come play in the alumni game, but it may be difficult since I now live in the Pacific Northwest. If there is anything in peticular anybody would like to know or see from those first four years let me know. Our first win came in February in Feb. '81. Several of us helped move items out of the Austin College building while Old Main was burning a year later. That was quite an experience and a loss of a beautiful building.
We all had a great time playing lacrosse at SHSU, especially those road trips to New Orleans.

Hey guys,
I just received a call from Kevin Martin. I wasn't aware you guys were doing Alumni games. I really haven't done more than throw the stick around with my kids in the driveway, but would love to attend and run the field a little if I can borrow a helmet or pads.
My contact info is rch@thorpecorp.com or jhlavenka@sbcglobal.net
Home phone 281-648-7602, Work 713-641-3361
BTW, when is the next Alumni game?
